Job Description

Role Summary
Thoroughly understand all product benefits, product warranties and Summit services that can be offered to customersCall upon customer accounts to sell Summit products and servicesRegular, frequent travel to customer sites and other locations either in Summit vehicle or provide own reliable transportationNegotiate profitable pricing with customers and suppliersProvide timely and accurate quote information and respond to customer requirements, issues and information requestsExercise discretionary authority to determine and provide specific customer pricing, purchase materials specific to customer orders and maintain service standardsWork cooperatively with customer service representatives to proactively follow up on customers orders, challenges and needsResolve customer concerns and encourage customer loyalty to Summit as efficiently and effectively as possibleAssist in collecting funds from accounts payable when necessary
Qualifications

Essential Skills
Significant sales and negotiating experience with and electrical supply distributor, manufacturer, or rep agencyStrong customer service orientationTime management ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to resolve complex business issues; ability to be forceful, but diplomatic and bring about win-win outcomeFlexibility ability to effectively adapt to changeClean driving record and current insuranceMinimum education: high school diploma or equivalent
Beneficial Skills
Quantifiable success in formulating sales strategies and driving sales performanceFamiliarity and a solid reputation for integrity and results with Summits customers, competitors, and suppliersSuccessful experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and BI toolsAbility to perform duties with minimal supervisionCompletion of EPEC Silver and/or Gold
