Overview

The Sales & Service Training Specialist plays a crucial role in the design of content for an engaging learning library as well as its ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement. This role will develop educational content for the Americas Commercial Sales groups, focusing on both sales acumen and customer service strategy.

The training this individual develops will empower numerous internal stakeholders (sales, technical service, and field service teams) to provide top-quality service to Alliance Laundry Systems distributor partners. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing training for external distributors, both self-guided and facilitated.

Responsibilities

Research and collaborate with subject matter experts such as technical service, sales, engineering, marketing, and product management; Consult with stakeholders to analyze needs and learning requirementsLeverage knowledge gained about Alliance brands, channels, and products to critically evaluate what content will be important for learners; Design engaging courses through application of instructional design modelsDesign and develop training content; Identify opportunities to improve existing training materials; Maintain and revise learning library Complete training reviews with stakeholders (internal and external) and subject matter expertsDevelop and assess the effectiveness of courses according to learning objectivesProvide support for LMS implementation strategy and its continuous improvementAssists with the estimation of resources needed to develop training material and time required to complete each piece in the development processGather and interpret feedback from subject matter experts and implement changes to training materialSupport learners utilizing Zendesk ticketing system as second-level supportAssist with planning and support of instructor-led training
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism, Communication, Education, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered At least 3 years of experience developing training materials Experience in instructional design, training methodologies, online education, and/or instructor-led trainingExperience with eLearning platforms and best practices
Skills and Abilities:
Systems-proficient; particularly with MS Office products and Adobe Creative Cloud; Advanced skills in Articulate 360Solid organizational skills: Ability to self-manage workload; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting tight deadlinesStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to speak in front of large audiences; communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization and external stakeholdersAbility to translate technical information into engaging, compelling learning material; Present ideas in business and user-friendly languageDemonstrate curiosity; Research acumen, specifically related to course development and delivery Knowledge of and experience with digital learning tools; Ability to select teaching methods appropriate for industry and audienceConfident working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop accurate, relevant content, including demonstrated facilitation skillsKnowledge of copyright and trademark rules for writing and delivering content and graphics
