SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst will support data-driven decision-making by gathering and analyzing business requirements, optimizing internal data sources, and contributing to ongoing pricing strategy enhancements and item cross-reference efforts. This role will work cross-functionally to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and IT, helping to translate business needs into actionable insights and solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborate with key business units to identify, gather, and document functional requirements.Analyze and optimize data pipelines and outputs from customer segments to improve reporting accuracy and strategic decision-making.Support item cross-reference data enhancement initiatives to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems and product categories.Participate in the evaluation and refinement of pricing strategies by analyzing historical data, competitor benchmarks, and market dynamics.Assist in the implementation of new business processes and tools that drive efficiency and improve data quality.Work closely with IT and data teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.Support testing, validation, and change management activities for new system implementations or enhancements.Maintain clear and thorough documentation of processes, business rules, and requirements.Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting for strategic initiatives or leadership requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A 4 year degree in a technical field or related studiesA minimum of 5 years experience in analyzing business processes and implementing technical solutionsKnowledge of and aptitude for computers and computer systemsExposure/experience to managing teams in an IT project environment
COMPUTER SKILLS:

Experience with Microsoft Office applications required

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to document business processes and proceduresAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:
Must be detail oriented and exceptional in organization techniquesMust be self-motivated, with ability to set and achieve goals, and set priorities of multiple tasks in order to meet deadlinesMust be able to coordinate activities of other employees
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound business process decisionsAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
