POSITION

SALES ASSOCIATE

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Associate will be responsible for handling all assigned sales accounts. The Sales Associate will support all elements of the sales life cycle to include but not limited to; processing purchase orders/payments, invoicing, management of sales reporting, manage marketing and customer relationships, presentation creation; and customer and industry business partner development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support, report to, and be directed by the Business Development Sales Manager in his/her duties.Support the management and organization of the sales department through the entire pre-sale, quoting, purchasing, and product shipment process. Receive and process customer purchase orders. Process payment and invoicing of purchase orders. Coordinate with scheduler, finance, administration, and any other appropriate departments for order processing, fulfillment, and accounts receivable.Be accountable for the administrative tasks of the sales department, such as tracking outstanding invoices, sales orders, bailments, and promotional opportunities. Manage inventory of bailment and promotional items in sales department.Assist in sales analysis and opportunity tracking.
Document processes and procedures of the sales department. Adhere to established and assist with developing new sales-administrative processes that allow for the transparent flow of communication between sales and internal operations teamsFills in as back-up for customer service representative, responding to customer emails, phone calls, processing tickets, orders and returns, etc. Perform all other duties reasonably related to the Company's business when asked to do so by the Company's executive team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Full-time, on-site position.Must have prior administrative experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office and 365 Suite.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in customer service practices and procedures.Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and tracking information.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Adaptability and willingness to learn new software and technologies.Efficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.May be required to travel for trade shows, training events, gear testing, customer locations, military installations, demonstration sites, and industry or company events.May be required to work overtime and/or extended hours depending on business needs.Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and kneeling for up to and including 8 hours.
Vision to view printed and electronic text and graphics.Ability to access information on computers, tablets, and electronics.Ability to handle and manipulate items with hands and/or fingers up to and including 8 hours.In accordance with the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (18 U.S.C. § 931), the applicant must not have a violent felony background.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience with CRM and e-commerce software, such as but not limited to BigCommerce, Avalara, and/or Microsoft Dynamics systems.Knowledge of tactical equipment and industry strongly preferred.
