Job Title: Technology Sales Engineer

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

Position Summary
The Technology Sales Engineer is a dynamic and experienced resource that focuses on the federal sector. This role requires a deep understanding of technological solutions in Enterprise IT. The Technology Sales Engineer works closely with RavenTek sales teams to provide outside sales support with technical expertise, support complex sales processes, and deliver customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our federal clients.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze customer requirements and develop tailored solutions that align with federal standards and mandates.Collaborate with the product team to customize offerings for the federal market.Act as a technical advisor in the sales process. Present and explain the technical aspects of solutions to prospective clients, ensuring their needs are met. Client relationship management along with building and maintaining strong relationships with federal clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.Perform market analysis and keep abreast of federal market trends and changes in regulations to inform product development and sales strategies.Work closely with sales team to collaborate and provide training and support to ensure they are well-equipped to sell to federal clients.Provide technical and product demonstrations and presentations, to showcase how our solutions meet federal requirements.Assist with the preparation of technical proposals and responses to federal RFPs, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.Provide post-sale support, ongoing technical support, and consultations to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.Work with our CTO organization to manage and maintain the RavenTek demo lab environment.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.Complete required compliance training as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Travel as needed to meet with clients or attend industry events.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
Extensive knowledge in technology sales, particularly in the federal sector.Federal procurement processes and security regulations.Ability to translate complex technical information into simple terms for non-technical audiences.Knowledge and experience with security technologies and or Infrastructure technologies.
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
Certifications, Licenses
Technical certifications or advanced training in relevant areas.
Special Requirements
No clearance required but the ability to obtain up to a Top Secret Clearance
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
