Description:Purpose:The Assistant Regional Mortgage Sales Manager works directly with the Sales Manager and Operations to ensure the Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO's) are working to their fullest potential and have the tools necessary to do so. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for maintaining relationships with both internal and external partners to achieve their own production.

Essential Functions:
Develops new business by cultivating leads from external referral sources such as realtors, home builders, attorneys, financial planners and other COI's. Maintains an ongoing relationship with these sources to foster ongoing referral business.Responsible for onboarding new MLO's to the team. Including but not limited to Kroll access, Mortgage Bot access, Member docs, concur, business card orders, setting up professional photograph, Duple, Sonyma Express, and ensuring Salesforce access. New hire should feel very confident that they have all the tools to succeed and that the onboarding process was the best experience possible. Responsible for daily POD calls with team to ensure that files are moving through the pipeline and hitting target dates set forth in the purchase contract. Keeping POD members involved and engaged while holding everyone accountable for their part in the file.Works with internal business partners such as branch staff, commercial lenders, small business lenders and wealth management staff, to identify prospects and leads. Stays knowledgeable on Bank products and services and actively contributes to business development goals through cross sell opportunities, submitting referrals to other lines of business. Participates on internal working groups as needed.Ensures that staff are kept current and compliant with industry standards and government regulations and adhere to all bank policies and procedures. Serves as subject matter expert with all mortgage products. Actively promotes Five Star Bank projecting a positive and professional image through participation in relevant community and professional activities to expand and enhance networking opportunities for generation of leads and community interest.Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.
Job Related Qualifications - Education and Prior Experience:

Required:
Education: High School DiplomaPrior Experience: 10+ years of experience in residential lending Licenses or Accreditation: Register with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry (NMLS) and obtain a unique identifier

Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet established deadlinesStrong sales orientation while being customer focused; strong servicing skillsAbility to develop strong working relationships and interact with all levels of staff and management Possess a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracyWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and loan origination systems with the ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications
Physical Requirements:
Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.Able to travel occasionally throughout the footprintExtensive computer usage is required.Extensive phone usage is required.Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally as business permits

Compensation for this role is primarily variable and based on commissions.
