PRE-SALES ENGINEER

Brava at One Communications Guyana is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer who will be instrumental in driving the technical closure of complex solutions, supporting our transition from a telco-first to a tech-first managed service provider (MSP). Collaborating with sales, products, service delivery, engineering, and technical support resources. The Pre-Sales Engineer will ensure that our next-generation of product solutions at Brav accurately address customer needs and are supported by key technical decision-makers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal Management: Manage deals assigned by the B2B sales team, prioritizing efforts to maximize individual productivity and profit, as directed by the Head of Business Solutions.

• Business Development: Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities within customer accounts. Collaborate with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.

• Technical Solution Scoping: Proactively scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess customer needs, and recommend optimized solutions for both the customer and the firm.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer organization. Adapt solutions as needed to ensure appropriate support and alignment.

• Internal Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal sales, sales support, product development, and service resources to align solution design with customer business requirements.

• Technical Closure: Obtain necessary commitments from customer technical staff to support deal closure.

• Service Level Agreements & KPIs: Meet assigned targets for service levels of all solution designs, requests for quotes, proposals, and meeting requests.

• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the products and services offered. Stay updated with industry trends, continuously enhance technical knowledge, and complete assigned certifications within the specified timeline.

• Sales Team Training and Development: Provide training to B2B sales team members to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.

• Customer Support Monitoring: Monitor customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process and alert the sales and account teams to potential risks to deal closure.

• Proposal and Presentation Creation: Create technical proposals and deliver PowerPoint presentations tailored to customers' specific needs.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales, business development, or a related field within the telecommunications industry.

• A minimum of 3 years of solution design experience in a business-to-business or large/ strategic customer segment is preferred.

• Experience and professional certifications may be considered in lieu of educational background

• Proven track record of managing and closing deals in a B2B telecommunications environment.

• Demonstrated success in technical solution sales and a proven track record of achievement.

• Experience in scoping technical solutions and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong background in customer relationship management and stakeholder coordination.

• Familiarity with telecommunications industry trends and a deep understanding of the products and services offered by the company.

• Strong understanding of the latest connectivity, cybersecurity and cloud technologies, trends, and leading providers.

• Ability to create and deliver technical proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth.

• Relevant certifications from key technology vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft, Fortinet, Veeam, AWS, Azure, etc is preferred.

• Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, and presentation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage competing demands and to prioritize tasks.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with acute attention to detail.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams for documentation, reporting, collaboration and project management.
