Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role is designed for those with a keen interest in sales and business development, providing a robust foundation in our sales processes and tools. The position serves as a lead into various advanced roles within our organization, with a focus on long-term career development.
What You'll Do:
Execute Proven Sales Process Internally: Implement our established sales strategies in a back-office capacity, supporting the sales team's efforts.Work Tool Inventory: Manage and maintain inventory of work tools, ensuring availability for sales operations.Work Tool Sales and Support to Sales Team: Assist in selling work tools and provide support to the sales team regarding tool usage and benefits.VST Execution: Execute Value Simulation Tool (VST) responsibilities to facilitate sales opportunities.SPM Back Up: Serve as backup for the Sales Production Manager (SPM) in their absence or during peak times.Finance Manager Back Up: Provide support to the Finance Manager, including data analysis and financial reporting.ISR Back Up: Act as an Internal Sales Representative (ISR) backup, managing customer requests and sales follow-ups.
Training Plan:
SPM Duties: Learning the responsibilities and functions of a Sales Performance Manager.CRM: Mastery of Customer Relationship Management systems.iQuote & iRent: Training on our proprietary quoting and rental software.CAT Systems: Understanding and navigating Caterpillar's specific operational systems.All Sales Training: Comprehensive sales training covering techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.CFSC Training: Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation training to understand financial aspects of sales.Work Tools: Detailed training on our range of work tools, their applications, and sales strategies.ILP (Individual Learning Plan): Personalized development plan tailored to the trainee's career path.Requirements:
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Strong interest in sales and customer interaction.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes.Must be proactive, with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
• Business awareness and numerical ability.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment industry is a plus
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and other database systems
• Fluent in using a CRM system
• Experience using DBS, Saleslink,Monday.com or iRent is a plus
